This part of southern Indiana is very, very rocky. It’s impressive when a giant tree falls over and its root system pulls with it a collection of rocks.
This is a mock bald eagle nest that kids can climb into for photo ops.
And my first traffic jam in months , trying to get into the state park. Popular day for boating.
The small stream I crossed at the start of the forest road from my earlier post:
Any day that includes lots of su nlight, warm weather, and curvy roads is a good day. Today was a very good one.

I like nice rocky forest with some elevation change. Combine that with a creek and you’re golden.
Rare to see a ‘55 (?) Chevy 110 (?) sedan so I thought this chart was relevant
